title: Oblong
order: 3
---

A box whose four vertical edges are bevel-rounded and whose top and bottom caps are rounded separately — the shape that sits between a box, a cylinder, and a sphere. Push the bevel to half the width and it reads as a capsule cross-section; leave it near zero and it is a rounded box.

## Parameters

- **Size** — base extent (default `2.0`)
- **Half-Extents (X, Y, Z)** — independent dimensions per axis, controlled by object scale
- **Bevel + Bevel Profile + Bevel Smooth** — the four vertical corner edges
- **Cap Rounding + Profile + Chamfer Smooth** — the top and bottom rims

## Notes

Bevel and cap rounding are independent, exactly as on [Prism](prism.md) and [Trapezoid](trapezoid.md): the *Bevel* section rounds the vertical edges, the *Cap Rounding* section rounds the horizontal rims.
