Cone

A frustum (truncated cone) with adjustable cap ratio. Set cap to 0 for a pointed cone, or increase it for a tapered cylinder.

Basic Usage

  1. Shift+A > Chisel > Cone or use the Pie Menu
  2. Scale to set overall size
  3. Adjust Cap to control the top face size (0 = point, 1 = full cylinder)
  4. Add rounding for smooth edges

Parameters

Bottom Radius

  • Description: Radius of the base circle
  • Effect: Derived from X/Y scale

Half-Height

  • Description: Half the cone height
  • Effect: Derived from Z scale

Cap

  • Description: Scale ratio of the top face relative to the bottom
  • Range: 0.0 to 1.0
  • Default: 0.0
  • Effect: 0 = pointed cone, 0.5 = half-size top, 1.0 = full cylinder

Rounding

  • Description: Edge radius on rims and cone edges
  • Range: 0.0 to 10.0
  • Default: 0.0
  • Effect: Angle-aware chamfer at cap edges

Profile

  • Options: Round / Sharp / Soft / Tight / Chamfer
  • Default: Round

Chamfer Smooth

  • Description: Rounds the sharp edges where chamfer meets the faces
  • Range: 0.0 to 5.0 (soft max 0.5)
  • Default: 0.0
  • Effect: Only applies when Profile is set to Chamfer
