Sharp Profile

The Sharp profile uses an L4 supercircle (superellipse) for tight-kneed fillets. The transition from flat surface to fillet is abrupt, giving a precision-machined look.

Basic Usage

  1. Select a Chisel object that supports rounding (Box, Cylinder, etc.)
  2. In the Object Properties panel, set Profile to Sharp
  3. Increase the Rounding value to see the effect

Characteristics

  • Supercircle (L4 norm) cross-section
  • Tight knees where the fillet meets the flat surfaces
  • More abrupt transition than Round
  • Good for machined or precision-cut appearances

Parameters

Rounding

  • Range: 0.0 to 10.0 (soft max 2.0)
  • Default: 0.0
  • Effect: Radius of the supercircle fillet
